We’re a lively local church on the Mackworth estate outside Derby, so there’s lots going on all the time for everybody. We’d love to see you at an upcoming event at St. Francis Mackworth, whether you’re looking to make friends, find community or want to get involved. Alpha
What is Alpha?
A place to explore.
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the big questions of life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. We intentionally create a relaxed and low-pressured atmosphere so no question is ‘off the table’ and everyone is welcome. Alpha has been running all over the world for the last couple of decades in churches, pubs, prisons & homes where nearly 30 million people have taken part and loved the experience.
How can I sign up?
It’s simple and easy to sign up! Alpha will be starting in the autumn, and you can register your interest here. We would love to explore life’s big questions with you!
Focus
Every year, at the end of July, we join in with others across the HTB network for Focus - a week of camping, worship, teaching and fun together. This is a great opportunity to hear about what is going on in the wider network.
Focus runs from Thursday to Sunday and there are options to come without camping if camping is really not your thing! We can also help with tents so don’t let that stop you coming.
